Samurai X Rurouni Kenshin has the original title (る ろう に 剣 心) is a manga and anime work of Nobuhiro Watsuki background in the beginning of the Meiji era in Japan. The manga is published in the weekly magazine Shonen Jump and has recorded a 28 book series. In Indonesia, the manga is published by Elex Media Komputindo in 2002 under the title Samurai X.
Samurai X name was first used by ADV Films in the anime Rurouni Kenshin released in America. The name is taken from the sign of X-shaped scar on Kenshin's face.
